Antonio's Letter to Santa

Antonio wrote his list to Santa tonight. He likes to write it early this way it gets to the North Pole in time for Santa to get it and for the elves to start on his gifts lol! He is too cute my baby. I'm sure Santa will write back as he does every year, and I'm sure Santa will send Giovanni his first letter too!

I finally got some photos of my goddaughter/niece Francesca with Giovanni. She hates taking pictures all of a sudden and refuses to take any with the baby but I need them for his book. So today, while she was talking to him and making him laugh this morning, I told her I was snapping photos of him, but I got her in there too! I was even able to cut her out in some and it looks like I took the picture of her! I'm so excited I finally got photos of her without her covering her face!

Pajama Party

My nieces Veronica and Francesca are over grandma's house with me, Antonio and Giovanni. They are having a "pajama party" tonight :) They all took their baths and put on the brand new pajama's they got today. Giovanni is now sleeping and the kids are just hanging out watching movies and playing video games. Antonio is so excited his cousins are here!

Black Friday

The boys and I decided to go shopping today with my mom in our PJ's! It was so much fun, I'd live in my night clothes if I could!! I'm actually almost done with my Christmas shopping already, and I love to wrap the gifts up! Today is great because the Christmas Season officially begins! Its the most wonderful time of the year! The boys and I will probably just stay home in our PJ's for the rest of the night and watch movies and eat and just hang out.

We bow our hearts to You and pray.

We give You thanks for all You've done

Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.

So today we offer this response of praise

With a promise to follow You all of our days. Today was Thanksgiving and what a wonderful one we had! We spent the day at my cousin Rosalie's house and had the most delicious meal together. Josh was off work which was awesome. We are all so tired now... but I just put the boys to bed and figured I would upload the photos from today to share with you. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. I missed all of my family and friends up north and wish we could have all been together but you were all in my hearts and I am so THANKFUL to Jesus for ALL of my family and friends!! I am so excited to start the Christmas season now and so is Antonio and hubby. I just know Gio will share our love of the holidays once he is old enough to understand.

This Thanksgiving I am especially thankful to GOD for the closeness of my family and friends. Even though we may not all live in the same state, we are all so close now and I have never been so happy about that. I am thankful that we all have our health! There are so many people suffering from illness and I am so greatful that none of my family or friends have to go through that right now and I PRAY for those that do. I am thankful for all of my blessings. My home and everything in it, my husband, my two gorgeous healthy happy sons, my parents, all of my in-laws, my sisters, my brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & friends. My happyness, my kindness and just everything wonderful the Lord has blessed me with. Amen.

It's 3:00 a.m.

As I sit here in the middle of the night with my beautiful baby boy Giovanni, it got me thinking about a beautiful poem I had put in Antonio's baby scrapbook. It was a beautiful poem that fit Antonio and I so perfectly... and now, so perfectly for Gio and I...

My Baby Boy and Me

Its 3 am they're all asleep

And no one's here to see

As we rock slowly back and forth

My Baby Boy and Me.

His little head is feather light

tucked up against my chin

I hold his tiny hand in mine

and stroke his baby skin.

The house about us creaks and groans

the clock hands creep around

He snuggles closer to me still

and makes his baby sounds.

I love these quiet hours so much

and cherish every one

store memories up inside my heart

for lonely nights to come.

All too soon he'll be grown up

his need for Mama gone

but until then I still have time

for kisses and for song.

Time for quiet hours like this

with him cuddled in my arms

where I wish he'd always stay

protected safe and warm.

And yet I know the day will come when this tiny little hand

will be much bigger than my own,

he'll grow to be a man.

But until then he's mine to love

with no one here to see

as we rock slowly back and forth

my baby boy and me.

And as I did with my precious Antonio... I will sing this song to get him back to sleep... making this song my precious little tradition since both of my boys absolutely love to listen to it as they fall asleep...
